The Quintilian Project

The Quintilian Project is an ongoing effort to build a digital edition for Quintilian’s Institutio Oratoria. The eventual edition will include all its English translations, allowing a reader to compare passages between translations. Future plans include incorporating secondary scholarship and tertiary commentary as part of the edition along with dynamic visualization tools for analyzing textual relationships.

The project is currently in its early stages. The team is at work scanning, correcting, and encoding the primary texts. In addition to these necessary initial steps, we are also designing interface prototypes for the dynamic scholarly resource.
